LIVERPOOL LETTER -

I am from Liverpool originally and have heard many 'tributes' to The Beatles but I have never enjoyed any of them (including the excellent Bootleg Beatles) as much as Rockola. The whole set was amazing, not just the Beatles music but the complete music selection. I was supposed to be mingling and networking but I really just stood, sat, danced and listened for most of the evening. Everyone I spoke to thought that the band was wonderful, something that both the British and American guests agreed upon, old and young alike.

If I lived in California I would follow Rockola's performances closely and I would highly recommend them to anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity to go and see them.

If you ever decide to play The Cavern Club or at any of the Beatles events in Liverpool then please let me know, I'll be the first to sign up for tickets.

Well done!

GM FANMAIL - Here's an email from a GM fan (more to come):

To the band members:

I was at the Mirage for the event GM put on (Peak Performers 4/21/08) and just had to tell you how blown away I was by your show. I'm a big "horn" fan and was VERY impressed by the quality of sound, the jubilance and electricity in which the band displayed. It was the best "Set List" I have ever heard from a band that plays other people's songs. I mean c'mon "Everyday People!!!!" It was fantastic.

The intimacy of the final few songs is what made me a fan for life!!! It was the humility of the band and the down-to-earth manner in which you come across to the common man combined, with the talent, humor and passion that will serve you well wherever and whenever you play in the future. Seven Bridges Road is an all-time favorite of mine and you did the Eagles proud!!!

Keep on Rockin'!!!

Mike Allen

RATED ARRRRRGH --The Children's Hospital Miracle Makers Gala, was outrageously cool and we have the Pirate pictures to prove it. This crowd is like a 'greatest hits' audience for us, with more familiar faces per-capita than any other on our annual fundraising social events calandar. But wait, there's more... Main Man David Gillig has officially become our favorite, non-famous, sit-in guitarist having nailed "Brown Sugar" in the original Keith Richards' open 'G' tuning! Special thanks, as always, to Pacific Events for the inspiration (see last years gushy comments, and add extra kudos to Joanne Mera for the 'Pirate' theme)and co-ordination (that means you Kristen), and John Volt for sound production. (was that a sentence?) Hey, you won't see me boring you with names here often, but a quick glance at the photos below should tell you that this event was, as it always is, a cut above. Just keeping it real cuz... uh... that's what I do.(Insert clever pirate pun here)
