A glorious 10-year Anniversary for ROCKOLA and this event, and we couldn't have asked for a better day, a better audience or a better vibe. Like some fully whacked magic ala Mary Poppins, Spreckel's Park seems to expand a little every year to accomodate the ever growing throngs of fans, friends, family, and funatics™.

Perhaps even more miraculous is the width of this event's audience demographic, sporting every age from newborn to 100+ years old. Geographically, this event draws a particularly large group of out-of-towners (most notably from San Francisco, Tucson, Phoenix, Brawley, and Orange County.

In the "extra special" catagory, we brought along one of our favorite female vocalists Angel O' Brien to add an element of something-you-ain't-never-heard-before-at this-event. Also, we hosted sit-in performances by some of our own kids (Celia Tedde, Cody Booth). Also also, professional do-gooder David Gillig kindly added some excellent guitar to the mix, and Coronado Promonade's main man Floyd Ross (as in the guy who runs this whole summer series)let us co-opt his birthday (icing on the cake!). Jaime was his usual super efficient self, Our good friends from Coronado Hospital were out en-mass, especially the emergency room staff, and a whole paragraph of people I know I'm forgetting to mention. Can this event possibly get any better? Stay tuned for decade #2....
