What more can I say...
I felt that I got my money's worth and then some.
Thank you.
What a professional
performance. The sound was excellent and the venue
worked well.

Dear Rockola,
I just wanted
to thank you for all your hard work in making Saturday night
one of the most pleasurable concerts I can recall. Your attention to
detail in recreating these tunes really put a smile on mine and the entire
audience’s face.
Before you started playing, while watching the many 50-something crowd
file in, I made the comment to my wife “Damn, these people are all around
our age. Do we look that old”? She replied, “Yes you do”!
Two songs
into the concert I glanced around the audience and no longer saw the
people who had walked in. Instead I saw a bunch of high-schoolers ! You
guys had taken us all back to those simpler times. People were singing
along re-living the memories of what they were doing when that particular
song was first played. Add to this the inclusion of the talented kids and
wow! And then if that wasn’t enough, adding a member of Tower of Power,
the best horn section ever, was the icing on the best cake I have had in a
very long time.
Thank you for what you do!
Best,
Gary L. Hill

You ALL do
an amazing job. Please put me on your email list. I want to
stay informed about what you are doing and when.
I feel so blessed that a friend told me about the concert and even bought
the tickets!

WOW! My husband
and I have been Rockola fans for many
years and you guys never cease to amaze us with your
talent. How you guys create sounds that were never
meant to be played live is astounding! The youth
orchestra just gets better and better. What an awesome
way to "give back" than to bring up our young
classical musicians with an appreciation for classic
rock and roll. The North Park theatre is your best
venue yet! My dad (81 years old) is a big Rubber Soul
fan. I'd love to take him to a concert.
You guys R-O-C-K!
Suzanne
Keep on Cruzn......

I
was one of the ushers at your North Park performance on August 5th and I
have to say that yours was one of the BEST shows I've ever been to. GREAT
performance! The audience loved it, the ushers loved it, the North Park
neighbors loved it. . . Thanks to all of you for such an enjoyable,
entertaining evening of fun!

We had a great time with all of you on Saturday Night. My voice was almost
gone. So many memories and contact highs(?). Anyway, I saw Michael Seamus
(sp?) from UCAN today and thanked him for being a part of putting this on
as
well. We were both going on about how great everyone played, broken string
be damned.
Wanted to yell "Screw Street Scene! They didn't want our old money"
when you
brought it up, but I restrained myself for a change.
Thanks again. All 6 of us of all ages really had a load of fun.
Andy

Your Revolver show was great! I am looking forward to your next album show.
Thanks for performing in San Diego. We love you!
____________________________________________________________________________
Bob and Talented Company: I'm proud and happy to say that I have seen
all the album shows. It's so evident how much the audiences enjoy the
experience and accurate recreation of the music that they love so much.
And the joy of sharing the "our" music with our children and young
people is an opportunity that is unavailable elsewhere.
Your devotion to the accurate replication of the Beatles music as well
as your vocal and instrumental expertise makes it easy for me to
recommend these shows to everybody who likes music. Best wishes and
hopes for future succes. If you play 'em, we will come.
Vinnie and Polly, music lovers

Hi Bob,
I've become a major Rock-o-la fan in the last two years. I get kidded at
work when I enthusiastically describe a Rock-o-la event. I drove people
nuts after the incredible M.Y.S.O. show last year.
We brought two other couples along with us to the Revolver concert. One
of the men works with me. Monday morning I didn't say anything to anyone
about the show. I just waited for my friend to arrive. He proceeded to
rave to everyone about what an incredible experience it was. I felt
vindicated.
We've probably been to a dozen Rock-o-la shows this year and enjoyed them
all - this one was great. Every time you mention the Abbey Road and White
Album concerts it makes me sad that I missed them. We can't wait for the
next one!
Thanks for the great time

Promoting
ROCKOLA's REVOLVER concert was a pleasure! Seeing the performance
was a delight and we were glad to be a part of the show‚s success.
The attention to detail was extraordinary and all the hard work paid off in
the most beautiful way. How many bands get multiple standing ovations?!?!
We
counted at least 4! And that‚s on top of people dancing in the aisles,
clapping to the beat and singing along. What a „feel good‰ night
for
everyone. Thank you!
Rockola keeps the Beatles music alive for multiple generations as evidenced
by the audience - way to go on building the bridge that spans the generation
gap! Four generations of fans all rocking to the same timeless music.
It was a good deed to spread the word about something this special and we‚re
looking forward to working with you on the next one!
Joanna and Chuck Schiele (Beach Music Mafia, San Diego, CA)

As usual,
Rockola put on a fantastic show and although the
audience reception was terrific, I can't help but think that
from a musical standpoint, most of the crowd didn't know what
they were witnessing. The only suggestion I would make is that
the string section should maybe have been set up in a half-moon
configuration, angled toward the audience (as much as possible,
but without compromising the sound quality. This would just be
a visual thing, though.

Great Concert!!!
Your Beatle album concerts are the best concerts and the most fun of any
other concerts I've ever attended.
My daughter (18), Husband & I come down from Yuma, Az. each time you do
a
Beatle's album, it is so... worth it!

Hi guys!
What can we say, you guys rocked the house! We loved it, or can't you
tell!! Bob, we know you always work hard and are a perfectionist. You
don't settle for anything but the best and it showed! Thanks for the
wonderful show and the memories you brought back to us. As much as we
enjoy listening to all the other music that you play throughout the year,
we love Beatles the best! Matt's always tells me your his favorite
Beatles "cover" band. But we know Rockola is more than that! Anyone
can
put on wigs and costumes but no one gets the details perfectly down like
you guys do! Matt missed out on Sgt. Pepper last time so can't wait to
take him to that one!
Rosie & Matt (Come Together)
P.S. From Matt:
Bob - As I mentioned when we spoke after the show, you guys just totally
hit the nail on the head not only your performance but getting the *tone*
right. "I'm Only Sleeping" sounded like that nice sleepy acoustic
guitar
I've known all these years. As always, it was like, "This is what it
would have been like if we'd heard the Fabs play it live."
Matt

We were staying
in Mission Beach on a weekend trip from LA and saw the ad
for a live performance of the Revolver Album. When we found out it was
sold out, my British husband said let’s go anyway and try to get seats.
We went for nostalgia and were wowed by the music. I took my sister to
see Paul McCartney last November to commemorate the 40th anniversary of
our seeing the Beatles live. I came away saying that I realize now what a
great musician he is, something that got lost in the mania of the day. My
husband said it took 4 months to record Revolver and wasn’t sure it
could
be performed live. Your dedication to the music and your talent made it
come alive in a way I could not have hoped. We will look for
announcements and try to come to San Diego for your next performances.

My husband
& I had the pleasure of being part of your Revolver concert
Saturday night. We had been to the Sgt. Pepper's concert in Escondido
some time ago. I think this concert was even better, if that is possible.
We used to dance to your music frequently at the Catamaran years ago, but
lost touch with your band until I met Cody Booth at RBHS and he told me
about the upcoming Revolver concert. THANK YOU, Cody! It was such fun
to watch Cody & his Dad, as well as the other parent-child performers,
playing music together.
We love the youth orchestra in these concerts. They are a precious &
talented addition to the band. The brass section was a hoot! We loved
the surprise of them rising from the orchestra pit, playing their part in
"Yellow Submarine" and then waving to us as then sunk back down
to the
bowels of the theatre.
Most of all, we thoroughly appreciate the authentic details you work so
hard to perfect in each song of the album - even the sound of the needle
on the record during the breaks (cute). Shouldn't there be some category
in the Guiness Book of World Records for the only band that plays entire
Beatles albums in one sitting. Heck, not even the Beatles did that!
Can't wait for you do to Rubber Soul!
Nancy & Mike Denen

I'll chime
in with my comment that I thought your Revolver concert was
awesome. Thanks for putting that on; my friend and I enjoyed that
immensely!
Ever given any thought to putting on the Rubber Soul album as a concert?
I sure would love to hear that one!

Sorry - a
bit late in sending this...But I figured you needed a few days
to read everyone else's!
As usual guys, OUTSTANDING performance of the Revolver Album! My daughter
(12 yrs) and I have been to all your album shows and the last November
youth symphony show as well. Loved them all! I was actually in Finland
when I got your e-mail about this show and bought 4 tickets on the spot. I
brought two new fans. They were amazed and can't wait to see you again. I
plan on bringing several more to the next show.
We are always transfixed by the bands love and passion for the music. It's
so moving - literally! My girlfriend had to leave her seat to go in the
back and dance. She said she "just couldn't sit there anymore - it was
driving me crazy!" I tend to dance right there in my seat!
I will send another e-mail with my daughters info regarding the youth
symphony. What a great honor and awesome experience if she makes the
audition!
By the way Bob...I was shocked - you had shoes on!! :)
I have yet to make a Steely Damned show...can't wait to experience that!
Thanks for keeping us all entertained and doing great things for kids!
Lynn and Kiana Endres

Great
concert tonight in North Park! Thanks for
always being the most fun ever.
Possible to consider Rubber Soul for your next album
concert? I'm still waiting for Run for Your Life...
Cheers,

Hi, Bob and
the Band,
You guys did such a wonderful job, presenting the Revolver album (plus
more!) on its 40th anniversary! We were in Row 7, center, and could hear
everything just perfectly. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO well done, so all your
hard work and efforts definitely paid off! Can't wait till your next
special Beatles / youth symphony show!

Debra L. Eaton

Just a note
for you guys -
I just wanted to say how I am always impressed by not only the musicianship
you all embody, but the spirit. Living through these shows on the sidelines
I see how hard you all work merely for the passion of the project. Sure it
would be nice someday to see a paycheck out of it, but right now, the joy
on
the faces of the kids in the show and those who came to see the spectacle
you guys create - so worth it. So worth it.
Wish you could see what I see. (But then that would mean you1d be where I
am and not on stage - not a good thing.)
Thank you Boys, Love ya!
Sandy DeCerbo

Gentlemen:
(and ladies).
Thanks for a GREAT show on Saturday night. Unfortunately after you had
finished Revolver (but not the entire show) I had to split the premises so
I
didn't get to say hello.
I'm sure I don't know the half of what went into the production but it
certainly paid off.
Let me know if you guys ever want to guest on the Beatles Radio Show on KGB
again -- I'll do my best to make sure there are no wildfires, no broken
sitar strings or cell phone calls.
I hope getting the word out on KGB had some effect on the sell-out - thanks
again!!

Dear
Bob and company,
I can't begin to tell you what a GREAT time Janet and I had at the Revolver
show last night!!!!I was literally in tears the first three songs. We have
seen a few of the
Beatles tribute bands in the past and while they may dress the part they just
don't give the feeling I get when I watch and listen to you guys. I found
myself thinking that both John and George would have enjoyed the show and
would probably joined you on stage if they weren't already there :)
The joy you guys get from the music and performing it is readily apparent
to all those in attendance. Jeanette and I were at the Steely Dan show in
Riverside on the 21st of last
month and while the music and sound was absolutely perfect (Fagen is sooo
anal when it comes to that) the FUN that we have at a Steely Damned show was
missing.
Thanks once again.....
Brian and Jeanette Corso

One of your best yet! It was especially wonderful
seeing my niece and nephew
playing percussion next to my brother (Bobby Sale).
Note to Bob T.: sometimes I think you must be crazy to do this, because I
know you never make any money at it; my thought is maybe you need to charge
more for tickets. I mean the tickets for Saturday weren't cheap, and look
how many people bought them EVEN during Street Scene. Rockola's shows,
especially the album tributes, are a guaranteed great time and how many
concerts can you say that about - concerts that cost way more and are held
in crappy venues???
PS: Did Bob mention something about a Sgt. Peppers concert before too long?
Robin

We saw your
REVOLVER ALBUM show last night; I brought 3 new listeners, all
who were "blown away". They could not believe a band like yours
was so
close to us here in Poway.
Thanks for the great show.

Dear Rockola:
What an amazing tribute..! I've been a Beatles fan for 43 years, but
have never heard any of their music live. Thanks so much for such a
moving live performance..! We'll definitely plan to see you again soon.

To Rockola
Thanks for a great concert last night at the North Part Theatre. I
definitely want to hear a lot more of your music in the future. I was
impressed by how close to the original soundtrack you were. The harmonies
were great, as was the wide range of incredible instrumentation. Although
it's a tough choice, I happen to think that Revolver is the best of the
Beatles albums - and I'm a huge Beatles fan - so you can imagine how
wonderful it was to here your tribute to the band.
Thanks for supporting all those youth symphony members and helping them get
exposed to music. There are few greater gifts that you can give them.
One little suggestion: in keeping with the spirit of the Beatles, perhaps
you could end with a non-Beatles song - Give Peace a Chance?
Thanks again for a wonderful concert. You guys ROCK!!!

I am one of the 700 people that arrived home with joy in my heart after your
terrific concert. The fun you were having added to the amazing music you
created. I am in awe at all your abilities to recreate the Beatles' music
note per note. What a gift you all have, and bless you for sharing it with
the youth of today and giving them the opportunity to have experienced the
success of last night.
Thank you.

(This email counts as two since we share our email address...but we occupied
two seats tonight.)
The show was absolutely AWESOME! You guys look like you were truly enjoying
yourselves, not working. Love that your kids (and the symphony) were
involved, too. We remember you from the mid-late 80's and can't believe we
have never heard about the other albums you have done. We will certainly be
at the next! Better either book two nights, or find a bigger theater. I'm
sure everyone who was there tonight will come back...and bring friends. I
know we will.
Again, we thoroughly enjoyed the show. You were all outstanding!

Hi Bob,
I really loved the show tonight. Like you, I thought the album seemed to
be over in five minutes. I loved the strings and the saxes. I see myself and
the rest of your audience as the first of many audiences to attend
all-Beatle concerts for hundreds and hundreds of years, like they do Bach
and Beethoven. The Beatles are that good. They excel in melodies, excel in
bridges, and excel in lyrics.
About the fundraising dinners: That's what you do for a charity, say, for
Katrina victims or abandoned dogs in Mexico. They probably need the cash
more--but I'd be willing to pay more at the gate if you're not meeting your
costs. Or you could sell shirts of yourselves like you've done in the past.
People who wanted to contribute more than the average fan would buy lots of
shirts, I'm sure. (I've purchased five in the last nine months)
Looking forward to Sergeant Pepper (the only one I missed.)
Sincerely,
Archie Merwin

Hi
Bob, just a quick one letting you know I was at the show last eve and
completely loved it! The best! Thanks for the Revolver recreation and your
attention to detail is off the Richter. Great singing by all and the
background vocals were top rate which is hard to pull off live. Lead
vocals-geez you guys are all insane. Mark with all of Paul's tunes, you and
John, and loved too Doug's lead on Something. Really great! So fun! Thanks
and keep your wonderful revolution pushing forward....adios, Peter

From the
bottom of my Beatle-loving heart, thank you for the most wonderful
evening last night. I sort of dragged my husband along and he had an even
better time than I did, if that's possible!
He said he now felt as if he had been to a Beatles concert. I told him
that, although I saw the Beatles twice in person (Hollywood Bowl and Dodger
Stadium), I enjoyed last night's concert more than either of those!
What more of a testimonial could you ask for?
You guys are great and we woke up in a great mood today...thanks to you!
Keep up the great work and we will follow you closely.
Thanks again,
Barbara Casler

Since you insisted that every one of us who attended last night's show at
the North Park Theater send you an email, here is my contribution.
That show ROCKED! Of course everyone says that, don't they? Seriously, the
last time my wife and I saw you was the George Harrison Birthday gig at
Humphreys. We are impressed by how much better you play the sitar since
then; you must have been practicing a lot.
Unfortunately, the sound guy had your guitar too low for most of the
Revolver album, but it suddenly got right during your solo in "Something",
for which I felt some relief. However, he seemed to lose you again a few
times after that.
The orchestra was really good, we especially liked the surprise 'pop-up'
during "Yellow Submarine".
You obviously put a lot of thought to add many background sounds and effects
during those numbers that required them. It really made us smile with
recognition. Yes we really appreciate the extra effort. Looking forward to
your online blog about what it took to put on the show.
After fighting the crowd in Humphrey's, we've decided that we are not 'club
people'. Looking forward to your next theater show. We hope to hear "Sgt.
Pepper's" and anything else you do with an orchestra.
There was one song I was hoping you'd play but didn't. Maybe next time you
can play "Please Please Me". That one really makes my head bob around.
Captain Dav!d Berg

Woooowl!!!! What an amazing, awsome, incredible, and 20 more superlatives
of
a concert.
My wife and I saw the Revolver concert last night and were blown away. The
work that went into the show was unbeliveable. You could fill concert halls
across the country,[but we wouldnt' want you guys gone that long]
I use to see you at the Catamaran back in the 80's[?] and enjoyed you then,
but this show, [see first sentance]
Thanx, Gene& Lucinda Scalco

Hi Bob,
Hey, I just wanted to say that it was overall good fun working on the
Revolver Show. Hard work and long day, yes, but I'm very pleased with the
outcome and I'm glad that I had something to do with it and was a part of
it. Thanks for your confidence in my abilities to mix the show and
ultimately allowing me to prove to myself that I can mix a large production
like that.
I had a great time as I know you did also.
Thanks.

Hi Rockola,
We were visiting from Pennsylvania and attended your Revolver Concert.
Awesome! The use of all of the original instruments and involvement of
youth was impressive. We enjoyed your talents!!
Thank you,
Joanne and Craig
_______________________________________________________________________________________
Hi,
We promised Mark we would send an e-mail but he agreed we could include all
four of us in one. When Joanne and Craig, Glen's cousins, visited in 1999
we took them to see you at the Catamaran and they really enjoyed the
evening so they readily agreed to join us this evening. We were all really
glad we attended. Glen has a question however. How come you don't post
your out of town public appearance schedule on your web site? We travel a
fair amount and would love to catch up with you outside of San Diego.
Can't wait for the next album show.

Hi Bob,
Second feedback note to you. How about doing Magical Mystery Tour? Have you
listened to the poetry in "I am the Walrus?" And the flute solo
in "Fool on
the Hill?"
"Blue Jay Way" was good. What do you think?
Sincerely,
Archie Merwin AKA Kidsrock

What a fantastic
show! All the revolver songs sounded crisp and right on!
It was a fun and show for Pam and I. I bought posters for Pam and I, and
mine is going on my "Beatles Art Gallery" on my wall at home (with
my
Rockola Sgt. Peppers poster). Keep up the good work and call me, Kathi, if
you ever
need an extra in the band for hand claps etc.!! Oh, yea! Cal and I are 1st
time Grandparents, Cassidy is 6 weeks old and already my daughter, Jessica,
is
playing Beatles for her.
Peace and wuv, Kathi

lots of memories, very nostalgic.
I was overcome with emotion and moved to tears.
Best concert I've been to in ages.

Great show!
I was in the front row and got to watch all of the details
about how you played the parts. As a guitar player myself, it's always
exciting to learn new/better ways to play my favorite Beatles songs.

Good Morning,
San Diego Union Tribune,
I LOVED the fact that you announced Rockola's upcoming concert in last
Thursday's Night and Day. Jumped on the computer, got good seats, and my
husband and I had the best time we've had in years at a San Diego event.
The energy, the superb music, the good cheer, the sold-out crowd at the
North Park Theatre. These guys are great!
I scoured Sunday and Monday's paper for a tidbit about the concert but,
alas, nothing! Just loads of pics and stories about Street Scene.
So, Bravo for the heads-up in the Night and Day Section, but thumbs-down for
not reviewing the concert. (Maybe it's going to be in tomorrow's paper, in
which case, I apologize!)

Rockola,
Thanks for a great time on Saturday night! My wife and I had a blast. We
saw the White Album on Halloween a couple of years ago, and we couldn't miss
the Revolver show. I would love to see ANY show where you perform a Beatles
album. Did I miss Abbey Road? I know I missed Pepper - you going to do
that again!? Let me know - I'm there!!
Tony Marine

Rockola-
What fun!! This is my third album show (how, why did I miss Abbey Road?!?)
and I love the experience. You guys seem to be having so much fun it just
draws us in.!
See you for the next one- soon I hope?
Best,
Pete

Hey,
Forgot to ask - I was surprised to see Bob play the guitar part for And Your
Bird Can Sing (one of my fave Beatle songs) all by himself! Is it 2 guitars
on the album?

Hi Bob -
Thanks for the great show last night. I saw your productions of "Sgt.
Pepper's" and "Abbey Road" but as the UK release of "Revolver"
is my most
favorite Beatles album, last night seemed to be the best yet.
Just as a side note, I'm not sure if you could hear the audience but during
"I Want to Hold Your Hand" there were people all around me supplying
the
syncopated hand clapping on beat & in just the right sections. That was
SUCH a surprise.
I was so pleased you had a sold-out house for this event. I'm waiting to
see what you produce next. Just as a thought have you even considered doing
a show of "The Beatles at the BBC". I think people might be surprised
how
great The Boys were as a live act. Other than that I'd like to hear an
anniversary show of "Rubber Soul".
As usual... Loved the Youth Orchestra.
Howard Airhart
